Biography

Joseph Jessie Onate is currently an Assistant Professor IV and the designated Head of the Center for Grants-in-Aid and Special Projects and the AI Research Center for Community Development at Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges. He is a Master of Science in Computer Science graduate of the Ateneo de Naga University.

Prior to joining the Faculty of the College of Computer Studies, he worked as a Technical Support Staff in the CSPC - Institutional Planning Office and a Science Research Assistant in the E-Governance Project of CSPC and DOST-PCIEERD. He is also a member of various externally funded research projects.

Currently, he is the Project Leader of the Php5-million funded project of the DOST-PCIEERD Institutional Development Program titled “Establishment of AI Research Center for Community Development”.

He also published and presented research studies in both Scopus and WoS indexed journals. His research interest focuses on Artificial Intelligence, Natural Language Processing, Remote Sensing, Data Science and Visualization, and Web Development.
